Hello Arnold,

thank you for looking at this. It's not necessary to include more license text files into your source tarball or repository. We (in Fedora community) will bundle those by ourselves, that's not a problem. The only thing I need right now is just a confirmation that we use (ship) correct licenses in the gawk package for Fedora. (I will put link to this e-mail thread in specfile since it should publicly accessible.)

Regarding the updates to files - IMHO, you do not have to create new tarball. I will extract those changes from git and apply them. They will get propagated into source tarball some day in the future, when you release 4.1.5, right? :) That should be enough.
