Ad the 'autom4te' - this seems to be much better and cleaner to me!
Thanks. One nit from me would be that the name of $autoconf variable is
not luckily chosen because it is not running autoconf. I would chose
something like $tracer (or $autom4te)? But it is a nit - don't see any
blocker in these patches.
I have tested it in a standard use-case and autopoint placed all needed
m4s to the AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR{,S}'s specified directory.
