Both tests fail with
msgfmt: Java compiler not found, try installing gcj or set $JAVAC
msgfmt: compilation of Java class failed, please try --verbose or set $JAVAC
Support for newer Java versions has been improved in gettext 0.22.
You should not be seeing these test failures with version 0.22.x any more.
