In a nutshell:
- Read the documentation
- understand the sysdeps dir
- configure with --enable-hacker-mode
- fill the sysdeps directory and send patches when you're ready.
- send your copyright papers to the FSF so that your patches can be
added to glibc.
You shouldn't need to touch any files outside sysdeps but if you do,
please explain why.
