This has very probably been fixed in the glibc-2.2 CVS branch.

Either try that branch or wait for 2.2.6.  In any case, dont' worry
too much, this is quite harmless, if it is the only "make check"
problem you can "make install" anyway (and in fact, if you then do
another make check, the crash should disappear).
