upgrading to glibc-2.3.2 caused app to crash on startup |

Hi All,
I recently installed my machine with RedHat linux 8.0 with comes with
glic-2.2.93-5. Redhat suggests to upgrade to glibc-2.3.2 to fix a
security problem.
Since that time, my app (after full rebuild) is crashing upon startup
with no stack within GDB.
(gdb) b main
Breakpoint 1 at 0x824cbd0
(gdb) r
Starting program: /build/pciroot/v900/src/cv/focus
[New Thread 1115625152 (LWP 32036)]
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 1115625152 (LWP 32036)]

Downgrading to the original version and rebuilding is fine.
Any idea?
