This would be great. 

What would be the most-intuitive "Lost Line" message?... Perhaps plain space? 
"func     20 file.c          "? "func     20 file.c   --- past end of file 
---"? ...


Making a choice gets more and more difficult, the more similar your choices 
are. Albeit, your choice gets more and more irrelevant. :-)
