Gtags.files also should affect mkid, I think.
Since old mkid was able to accept file names only by the argument,
it was difficult to support gtags.files. However, since idutils 4.4
or later accepts a file list (see -files0-from), it becomes easy.
I will put this plan into the TODO list.

Instead, gtags will require new idutils.

$ gtags -I
gtags: The -I option requires idutils 4.4 or later.
$ _

Thank you for the suggestion.

I discovered a slowdown while indexing the emacs project. It turns out
although I have gtags.files limited to C source files, mkid checks every
file in the project. Is this a bug? should gtags.files also affect mkid
so that it doesn't check uninteresting files?

Leo
