Hey, I was just thinking that having whitespace be
explicitly ignored as part of the definition of the
function is a useful feature of sorts. That way you
can preparse a string and change non digit chars to
spaces so as to make it a legal string. From my
experience mpz_set_str seems to work regardless of non
digit input, so perhaps spaces arent needed for this
purpose. It would be good though to have a character
that will be ignored.
