Alpesh,

This is documented amply in the GNATS manual which comes as part of the 
GNATS distribution. Granted, the version 3 manual isn't entirely complete 
and up to date, but most of the information there is useful and should 
answer most of the questions you have. Asking questions on mailing lists is 
fine, but you should do some research on your own first in order to make 
sure that it isn't documented somewhere else.
