I think the client side varient is the sort of thing
where if the thing grows, we may, say, every year, get
the database, burn it onto a cd (or several), 
distribute it under the GNU(like linux cds are
available from cheapbytes and cheeplinux), put the
ISOs up on the website etc.
And this would be a great thing for schools where it
costs nothing and is on a cd and the school doesnt
even have to pay for an internet connection.

I dont think banners are a good idea, i think we want
to make the system VERY anti-commercial (or just
non-commercial if you think compaq's monitoring your
connection right now;))
