I found this problem trying to make the src after a no-problem ./configure:
address@hidden src]$ make
gcc -c -O3 -Winline -Wmissing-prototypes -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer
-DUNIX atak.c
atak.c: In function `GenAtaks':
atak.c:173: fixed or forbidden register 7 (sp) was spilled for class
GENERAL_REGS.
This may be due to a compiler bug or to impossible asm
statements or clauses.
make: *** [atak.o] Error 1
address@hidden src]$
I tried to take a look at the source, but there's a lack in my knowledge of C
programming using asm registers ;)
Is this problem fixable? Should I try a particular option for ./configure? Or
should I forget playing chess on my machine (pentium 133 - linux RH kernel
2.2.14-5.0)? (...yes Crafty gives me other compiling problems...)
Thanks in advance,
Peach.

Q: Do I need to hate and bash Microsoft?
A: No, you don't. Not that Microsoft isn't loathsome, but there was a hacker
culture long before Microsoft and there will still be one when Microsoft is
history. Any energy you spend hating
Microsoft would be better spent on loving your craft. Write good code -- that
will bash Microsoft quite sufficiently without polluting your karma.
