Hi Simon,
The following position crashes immediately at an analysis
depth of 54:
White: Ke1, Pe2
Black: Ke8 to move
The "Show Thinking" indicates "GnuChes5 1000 handle_exceptions:
Exception: STATU" -- which is all I can read, at Titanic size.
Other KPK positions will invariably crash before long.
The depth of the analysis seems overly deep. It is often
over 800 on seemingly trivial calculations. And, strangely
enough, none of them is a pawn move.
Cheers,
Jim

Sorry, we lost the following position.
Please do resend, I've been looking for a bug in KPK ending routine, as
I have seen it not take the pawn when given a chance, twice.
Cheers,
Simon
