I haven't seen that before, but it has to be a bug in GNU Chess 5, maybe
one that only shows up on Suns.  GNU Chess is dying right after xboard
interrupts it ("Interrupting first") with a SIGINT.  Perhaps its signal
handler isn't installed correctly.  You'll have to ask the GNU Chess folks
about this.

Hi,

I've looked through your FAQ but I don't find any solution to my problem
here so I try to see if you have any time and interest in helping me.

I don't get xboard to work in combination with gnuchess. As soon as I do
my second move (as white), two windows pops up: "Error writing to first
chess program: Broken pipe" and "Error: first chess program (./gnuchess
xboard) exited unexpectedly".

Here is the script I'm using to start xboard:

./xboard -fd /home/epkjoab/opt/chess-5.02 -fcp "./gnuchess xboard"

When I use gnuchess without xboard, gnuchess runs just fine. That's why
I'm sending this mail to you.
