Bug 1 is not present in the version of GNU Chess (5.06) currently
maintained by us. Bug 2 is too vague a report.

Apple ship a variant of GNU Chess 1, for which we have received various
bug reports. It is my understanding that the grosser errors in this
package have been removed and that an update from Apple is available.

I also understand that current versions of Xboard and GNU Chess compile
fine under OS X, and that prepackaged versions of these are also available.
