Could you all decide if we should host these mailing lists and ask
<new-mailing-list@gnu.org> to set them up if you think we should.

Subject: restarting GNU mailing lists for gnu.emacs.vm.bug and gnu.emacs.vm.info

As you may know Kyle Jones has shut down the bug-vm and info-vm mailing
lists that were once upon a time gatewayed through the gnu.emacs.vm.bug
and gnu.emacs.vm.info gnUSENET newsgroups.

I would very much like to receive those newsgroups as mailing lists
again (since I do not regularly read USENET news or gnUSENET or anything
like it any more). I don't even have decent access to reliable news
feed any more. I know quite a few ViewMail users locally who are in a
similar situation.

It would be wonderful if these mailing lists could be hosted at gnu.org,
but if that's not possible I would be able to facilitate hosting them
elsewhere. If absolutely necessary I could set up a small news server
to take a feed of these groups (or even of all of gnUSENET) and then set
up a gateway and mailing list server myself, but I'd of course much
rather use someone else's existing gateway. :-)
