dabbrev-expand and overwrite-mode

I bet you haven't dealt with this yet.  You are in overwrite-mode and
you place the cursor at the beginning of line 3 and type T ESC /

you were hoping to get TELP20 where the 114 was, but no,
dabbrev-expand is not overwrite-mode conscious, so you get

TELP17  10-MAY-01 22:18 N24 11 12.7     E120 52 07.1
TELP20  10-MAY-01 22:16 N24 11 09.2     E120 52 07.8
TELP2014        10-MAY-01 22:13 N24 11 02.1     E120 52 05.3

which you must clean up by hand to get
TELP17  10-MAY-01 22:18 N24 11 12.7     E120 52 07.1
TELP20  10-MAY-01 22:16 N24 11 09.2     E120 52 07.8
TELP20  10-MAY-01 22:13 N24 11 02.1     E120 52 05.3
