I've tried out the patch that you sent me. It seems to be
helping some what, but I still get the cursor problems on
occasions. I've now seen this in quite a few modes (auctex for
instance).
I guess that there is not much that can be done about
this, unless someone can come up with the problem in a way which is
more easily replicable. Its not a critical bug, and I don't have the
time to go through my .emacs at the moment, with the care that would
be needed.
