I'll try to.  It could take me a long time to narrow it down; I was hoping
that someone would be able to look at the bug, and say, "Oh, I know what's
wrong!".  So much for that. =)

It has happened at least 10 times, but the problem is that it happens in
the other window, which I'm not looking at when it happens (i.e. it has
probably happened many more times than I have noticed), and it tends to be
when I'm doing fast editing, so I tend to destroy the evidence before it
registers in my mind that something went wrong.  In addition, if the
changes cause a highlighting change, the delayed fontification causes a
redisplay, which makes the display problem go away.  I haven't figured out
exactly what actions cause the bug to occur, but it probably revolves
around kills and yanks.

I'm sorry that this is such a lame bug report.  I won't hold it against you
if you ignore me.
