c++-mode hangs on indenting catch().

Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (sparc-sun-solaris2.7, X toolkit)
 of Sat Jun 24 2000 on ryooki.lysator.liu.se
configured using `configure  --prefix=/sw/emacs-20.7'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I use c++-mode while writing code in LPC, which is C-like. Pike, which
is handled by CC-mode, idea-wise started of at LPC. The c++-mode works
pretty well for LPC, and I prefer c++-mode rather than pike-mode, since
I am addicted to the syntactic colouring.

The following line, which is valid LPC code, makes emacs use all CPU
while failing to indent this line, or any following lines:
