The URL you posted doesn't work for me.  Could you post the forum and
the subject instead?

In any case, I'm guessing that implementing this requires Emacs to be
built with X support.  In other words, Emacs built with --without-x
will not be able to access the X selection.

(I'm not saying I'm against the feature.)
