point reposition during frame resize

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

1. Open new frame with same file
   (used make-frame-command via pop-up mouse menu.
   C-x 5 2 does same.)
2. View other part of file in new frame
   (used wheel mouse to scroll)
3. Select point in new frame that differs from old frame
   (using mouse)
4. Select old frame
   (click on frame with mouse)
5. Resize old frame
   (using mouse)
6. old frame display changes to portion centered 
   around point in old frame. (like C-l)
7. The reverse is also true; the new frame display
   will change based on the old frame's point.

It seems that both frames share the most recent point
when it comes to redisplaying after a resize.

THIS HAPPENS IN MS WINDOWS...
