This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the address@hidden mailing
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Symptoms: auto-save file name is consistently "c:\\#2#" for remote

How to reproduce:

Visit a file via ange-ftp, and check auto-save file name:

C-x C-f /address@hidden:README RET
ESC : (make-auto-save-file-name) RET

=> Emacs displays "c:\\#2", instead of the expected

Proposed solution (sorry, I don't have diff on this PC):

1) Change the default value of auto-save-file-name-transforms (line
305 in files.el)

     ,(expand-file-name "\\2" temporary-file-directory)))

       (file-name-nondirectory buffer-file-name)

2) Change one line in the definition of make-auto-save-file-name (line
3315 in files.el)

(setq result (replace-match (cadr (car list)) t nil

(setq result (replace-match (eval (cadr (car list))) t nil
