I use gnus emacs on windows at home, cvs version.
(emacs-version) -->
"GNU Emacs 21.3.50.8 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2003-12-28 on SERVER"
I got it from http://www.crasseux.com/emacs/

I am trying to set up gnus. When I customize group "gnus start", when I
click in the option "Gnus Default Subscribed Newsgroups" in the `value
menu' button, no matter what I choose, the error message appears:
 "symbol's function definition is void: nil"

The same happens in several customizations.
