Comments in Customize not recorded for faces.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Dear Emacs
  Suppose I use Customize to customize a face in, say, the Info
group.  I can use the customization buffer to attach a comment to
the face that I have customized, but the comment is not written to
.emacs, and it disappears once I close the session.  

Looking at .emacs here is what I see:

In the 

  (custom-set-variables ... )

section, comments are indeed recorded.  But in the 

  (custom-set-faces ... )

part, they are not.
