From: Roland Roberts
Subject: crash on X protocol error

User-agent: Gnus/5.1006 (Gnus v5.10.6) Emacs/21.4 (gnu/linux)

This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Attempting to enter an imap group with Gnus 5.10.6 causes emacs to
crash. The only message on the xterm which launched emacs was

X protocol error: BadName (named color or font does not exist) on protocol
request 77

Even after ulimit -c unlimited, I am not getting a core dump. The
binary has been stripped or has no debugging symbols. However, running
under GDB tells me

    Program exited with code 0106.

I'm not sure if that's a real call to exit() or not.
