This sentence is less clear than it could be:
"Insertion relocates markers that point at positions after the
insertion point, so that they stay with the surrounding text (*note
Markers::)."
We shouldn't use the verb "point" in this way; it invites confusion
with the nown "point". Something like this is better:
"Insertion moves markers located at positions after the insertion
point, so that they stay with the surrounding text (*note Markers::)."
