It shouldn't affect > other things (modulo bugs that I introduced). I meant Frun_hook_with_args_until_failure which calls run_hook_with_args which is now handled by DO_HOOK_FUNCTIONS. IIUC in order to not affect other invocations of run_hook_with_args you would have to iterate over the Qkill_buffer_query_functions within Fkill_buffer. Or am I missing something? martin
