 enum CHAR_TABLE_STANDARD_SLOTS
   {
-    CHAR_TABLE_STANDARD_SLOTS = VECSIZE (struct Lisp_Char_Table) - 1
+    CHAR_TABLE_STANDARD_SLOTS = PSEUDOVECSIZE (struct Lisp_Char_Table, extras)
   };

What does 'sizeof' return for a struct that has array[0] at the end?
