Ok, I used git bisect as described here:
http://git-scm.com/docs/git-bisect
In every iteration I did the following:
make distclean && make clean && ./autogen.sh && ./configure && make &&
src/emacs -Q
According to this procedure, the following commit introduced the problem:
6fcdb247c460ae52018a970c189969620c959465
Does that make any sense at all?
