bug#30627: 26.0.91; Evaluating (md5 nil) crashes Emacs

Hello,

evaluating (md5 nil) or (md5 t) in any way in Emacs crashes it for me.
This function is not defined for args that are not buffers or strings -
but it could better raise an error instead of crashing.
