PSPP in current CVS reads this file, although it issues a
warning:
        warning: "/home/blp/tietoyhteiskunta_1.sav" near offset
        0x15ea2: Long variable mapping from IKÄ to invalid
        variable name `Ikä'.
Hope that's OK: there are serious issues with
internationalization of .sav files, which we are unlikely to
resolve before the next release.
