The excellently prepared subject line says it all, and the attached
testsuite.log contains all the dependencies. The problem occurs with our
GNU Guix package of PSPP as soon as we drop the "--without-cairo" configure
flag (while keeping "--without-gui" for the time being).
The error message is always:
+render-test: The defined page is not long enough to hold at least 3 lines in
the default font. In fact, there's only room for 2 lines.
The Guix build process happens in a sparsely populated chroot; the only
fonts available come from the gs-fonts package.
