The error I discovered was all a coincidence, cause I format the text in gedit 
before pasting it as a comment on PSPP (also use tables in ASCII), but this 
time the gedit text wrapping played a trick on me.

Thanks.  I was testing with text that was only a little longer than 80
characters.  With a much longer line, like you provided, I also see the
crash.
