Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

I experience an extract write error during untarring GNUgcc.2.95.2.SPARC.Solaris.2.6.pkg.tar:

  tar: GNUgcc/root/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/2.95.2/libg2c.a:
  HELP - extract write error

Consequently, the pkgadd does not work:

  # pkgadd -d. GNUgcc
Processing package instance <GNUgcc> from </tmp>
GNU gcc 2.95.2 SPARC Solaris 2.6
  (sparc) 2.95.2
  GNU
  ## Processing package information.
  ## Processing system information.
5 package pathnames are already properly installed.
pkgadd: ERROR: packaging file </tmp/GNUgcc/install/checkinstall> is corrupt
      pathname does not exist
Installation of <GNUgcc> failed (internal error).
No changes were made to the system.

I have downloaded this package two times but I get the same error on both accounts. I need gcc as fast as possible to install the latest apache server and remove this very old and unsecure CERN httpd which is currently running.

Thank you for your support

Marc
