Can you provide us with some more information about this problem
please ?  What command line did you use when the problem occured ?

Have you run our of disk space, or are you trying to write to a write
protected file ?  (The abort in question happens when bfd fails to
write some data to the file).

Can you provide a *small* reproducible example of the problem for us
to test ?
