question re: gettext

Can you refer me to any gnu package (preferably a smaller one) that
uses both gettext & automake ?

The gettext manual does not address how to use gettext with a system
using the gnu build system autoconf & automake, and, altho I have
printed out the entire automake & autoconf manuals and attempted to
read them, I am finding myself unable to figure out how to do much
with them. However, I could probably follow an example. I've tried
a few random packages, such as gnu-hello, but haven't hit one yet.
