A quick inspection of your Makefile shows that egrep, fgrep, ... are soft
links to grep created by "make install" via $SYMLINK with SYMLINK = ln -s
in the Makefile. Since egrep and fgrep exist, this will fail; may I
suggest "ln -sf" ?
