Yes, that should also be in the chrooted environment.

I've found that it's easier to fix the shared library problems
(like the above) than it is to deal with statically linked programs.

More and more, Solaris is moving away from static linking, and it
takes more and more effort to swim against the tide.  I would avoid
static linking unless you're a strong swimmer and like challenges.
