That is quite an old set of sources. Version 2.12.1 has just been
released, so I would suggest that you downloading and building using
those sources.

If the newer sources still show the problem, then I would suggest that
you examine these files:
include/coff/internal.h
bfd/coff-aux.c
bfd/coffswap.h
