Yes.

It matches my md5sum.
I just tried it myself, with the patch that you sent me back,
and it worked fine:
$ patch <yourpatch
patching file sdiff.c
$
Perhaps you have a bad version of "patch"? I'm using patch 2.5.8
myself.
Or you can apply the patch by hand, using an editor. It's small.
