Bug on MS platform..

php and apache chrashes on win2k when using japaneese or chineese..

 

We did some testing, and it appears that it isnt ALL japaneese it chrashes on.. So my guess is that there is one or more symbols that, when read into a buffer, chrashes both php and apache..

 

Width limited knowledge about gettext, we tried to narrow down the problem (btw we also used horde):

 

Set languege to ja_JP

gettext('Mail')

apache and php hangs forever..

 

One of the chars, read from the translation of the word "Mail", must be interpreted incorrectly.. Perhaps it is terminating the string or somthing??

 

The word Mail (ja_JP) translated to HEX: 93 64 8e 71 83 81 81 5b 83 8b

 

 

Ive tried to supply as much info as possible and i really hope someone can help.. We be glad to supply any additional info or test things on a windows server..

 

If you dont wish to help or dont have the time, then please give me as many pointers as possible for a solutions.. Maybe even just a guess as to what it migt be...
