Linking problem with Xemacs

Hi!

I seem to be having another linking problem with the GNU ld.

nyfiprodapp4:/root# ld -V
GNU ld version 2.11.2 (with BFD 2.11.2)
  Supported emulations:
   elf32_sparc
   elf64_sparc
nyfiprodapp4:/root#

My environment is a Sun Sun-Fire running Solaris 2.8 with GCC version 2.95.3
I am trying to compile Xemacs version 21.4.12 (http://www.xemacs.org/)
I have no problem compiling it with GCC and linking it with the Solaris ld.
But if I try to link with GNU ld, I get

Any ideas or clues? It's not a show stopper since I was able to compile/link and run using the Solaris ld. I'm just surprised that the GNU ld was giving me problems.
