this is quite old version of gawk.  Current version is 3.1.2.

In case you really wanted to know the answer, you should find out
the project which produced the binary you use (gnuwin32, djgpp,
cygwin, or whatever) and contact the project.
But I wouldn't expect too much interest unsless you check the latest
version available.
