diff utility: feature suggestion

Hi!

I use the gnu utilities a great deal in my work and find them really
helpful.
I have been using diff utility for some time now. I was wondering if just
like the -X option for excluding files, if we had an option to include
certain type of files, it would have been great. This will be helpful if the
list of file types that need to be excluded is much bigger than that of file
types included in diff.

In these scenario, I usually copy those files into another directory and
than use 'diff -r'  on the new directories.
This feature addition can help many developers like me.
