A quick hint: you can use --nodeps option to rpm to install the package
in spite of the fact that dependencies are not satisfied.
If you haven't used rpm to install the sharutils packege and compiled
it yourself, rpm cannot know that the package is there.

On more general levell, this is a problem with rpm packages and the
dependencies.  You should find help from Mandrake, either form users'
forum or from their commercial support.

It's not problem with GNU software as such.
