Ahem. Sorry, I thought I was reading bug-coreutils ;-)
Anyways, I checked one of my GNU systems with is using diffutils 2.7 and
its man page describes the exit codes. Now I checked a system which is
using 2.8.1 and it indeed lacks the description on the exits, so it has
changed on 2.8.
