unfortunately, this report is not specific enough to be useful.
You should give the version of GNU grep you are using, your OS brand and
version, etc.  In case you use a Windows system, it's important to know
which port of GNU grep you are using, ie. where you downloaded it from.

To find out the version number, run "grep --version".
If it doesn't say "GNU grep ..." than the grep program is not part of the
GNU project, and there is little we can do for you.  Current version is
2.5.1, so if the version number is lower, you can consider upgrading.
