G'day Arnold.

I must admit that I do not know what the locale setup on my box is. I
guess I shall have to investigate.

I run a Linux environment that has been evolving from source over the
past 10-12 years and locale has never been an issue for me.

However, I just tried the same tests on a vanilla, out-of-the-box
Mandrake system and got the same results.

It also seems strange to me that Bob's en_US should treat lower case
letters as upper case. Doesn't sound right to me.

Cheers,
Stephen
