Sed on Mac OS X (I assume therefore also FreeBSD sed) does not
support supplying the "a" command on the sed command line via "-e" -
at least not in the way Gnu sed 4.1.5 configure scripts does it.
Thus, trying to build Gnu sed 4.1.5 on such systems fails during "./
I enclose a patch to get around this problem by first recording the
script to a temporary file and then executing it via "sed -f".
This should work with all versions of sed, including Mac OS X/Darwin/
